BILL GATES BLINKS

Following the Washington Post's exposé...

...and the subsequent call by Diane Ravitch for a Congressional investigation...

...the Gates Foundation calls for a two-year moratorium on tying teacher evaluations and student promotions to CCSS assessments.

I mean...

...that may not be calling a press conference and admitting "I was wrong", but WOW!

The remaining question...

Will his United States Department Stooge of Education Arne Duncan get the memo?

Duncan...

...has championed the link of teacher evaluations to CCSS assessments and insisted upon its adoption by any state desiring a share of the Race to the Top bribery billions...one-upping Teddy Roosevelt by speaking loudly and carrying a big stick.

Duncan has scoffed at previous calls for a moratorium on CCSS testing...

...enthusiastically pushing the brainchild of the 800-lb Gates gorilla...

...even going so far as to publicly castigate "white soccer moms".

Will Duncan now follow suit and implement that which he has previously denied, a moratorium on high stakes CCSS testing?

I would venture that the answer to that question will be a resounding: "Yes!"...

...thus proving the allegations of the Washington Post...

...and justifying Diane Ravitch's call for a Congressional investigation.

Let the hearings begin!
