CAT Tracks for February 5, 2015
THROWBACK THURSDAY II |
It was 20 years ago today...
..."smiling" Sandra T thought she held sway!
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
Yep, I'm still Spring Cleaning...
...this week it was 8-track tapes!
But, that's not where I stumbled across the memorabilia pictured above...
...they were hiding in plain sight, behind some books a friend loaned me.
Missing in action (inaction?) is the treasured "Old Cow Hand"...
...which was awarded to the CHS teacher deemed most in need...
...the latest to attract the never-smiling gaze of Cairo High's latest passing-through Principal, Sandra T. McKinley.
A chorus of CAT calls turned to cheers when Sandra T. moved on to bigger and better things.
FOOTNOTE:
Sandra T. was brought to CHS by Elton Crim, whose place in the history of Cairo School District Number One is that he served the shortest reign as Superintendent, lasting the first semester of the 1993-94 School Year.
Sadly...
...the good-reason-to be-un-smiling CATs of CHS had to endure another three semesters of she who never rendered or raised a smile during her stay.
Hopefully, however, today's journey down memory lane did bring a smile to the lips of some veteran CATs, a smile that was a long time coming!
Smiling Cow, Smiling Cow, CATs did name you...
